Headwaters thrives because of its volunteers; indeed, they are the engine that drives the programs and makes them exceptional. Our volunteers hail from all over the county, are full-time residents and weekenders, are students and retirees, and their breadth and depth of experiences are invaluable to the children we serve. And, for all that the children benefit, our volunteers will tell you that they are the real winners.

Our Volunteers:

-Tutor Kindergarten and 2nd graders in reading

-Mentor at-risk students, and provide an essential, trusting adult for children who may lack such consistency in their lives

-Offer career advice and mentoring for high school students and oversee our scholarship awards

-Serve as club leaders and tutors in the After-School Enrichment Program

-Represent Headwaters in the greater community, whether marching in the Christmas Parade, serving at the Back-to-School teacher luncheon, or much more

-Provide advice, professional expertise, and strategic planning for our programs and the organization as a whole

We welcome volunteers for short projects or long-term commitments. For more information, please Contact Us!
